Dr. Rose Botti-Salitsky ASID, Director of the Interior Design Program at Mount Ida College, participated this past June at the Massachusetts State House promoting the profession of Interior Design.
“Day on the Hill” on June 23rd for the Massachusetts Interior Design community. Governor Deval Patrick signed a proclamation declaring June 23rd, 2010 "Interior Design Day" for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts . Participating in this fabulous event were local professional interior designers, industry members, design students and friends who supported interior design legislative efforts through their attendance that day.
It was a great day to educate those present about the interior design profession—one that combines knowledge of building codes, critical and creative thinking, communication and technology for the purposes of improving the quality of life, increasing productivity, and protecting the health, safety and welfare of the public. Interior designers create interior spaces that are functional, safe and productive.
