Building Construction and Materials Site Visit

On October 22^nd, students from the  Building Construction and Materials class taught by

Jeanne Kopacz, ASID, IIDA, LEED AP Visiting Professor and  

Managing Principal Allegro Interior Architecture of visited a construction site at 2 Elizabeth Drive in Chelmsford, MA. The project involves a gut renovation of  two  office buildings, construction of a new link building, and a 100,000 square foot interior buildout for office and lab space. The group reviewed construction documents prepared by Winter Street Architects and walked three phases of the space. Conditions included roughed-in partitions, closed partitions, electrical rough-ins, open ceilings and some with grids in place.  Many thanks to Jones Lange LaSalle, the contractors responsible for the work.
