Design Showdown

On Friday, April 1st Interior Architecture & Design students attended Design New England's, 2nd annual Design Showdown at the Boston Design Center Design Showdown is a competition that schools from the New England area entered. For this years competition, the students were challenged to design both a retail and residential space on Newbury Street in Boston that was socially responsible while also being innovative, functional and inclusive. the two spaces were to be innovative and functional. Three Mount Ida Students got their work accepted into the final round; Junior-Nicole Handzel, 4+1 Master Learner-Nicolette Gordon, and Master Learner-Augusta Hahnel. The evening consisted of the eight finalists live presentations, followed by an after party where the winners were announced.
